Bome's Midi Translator Pro Bome's Midi Translator Pro is the popular MIDI and keystroke mapping tool to translate MIDI messages and key strokes: use it for controlling arbitrary software by way of MIDI and keystrokes. Its rich feature set allows it to be used for general Windows automation, too.
It works by specifying mappings for different input and output types. Below is a list of different trigger types (Incoming) and action types (Outgoing). You can combine them as you wish, e.g. do keystroke-to-MIDI conversion, or MIDI-to-mouse mapping.
This utility is installed in-between two midi programs or devices. It analyses incoming midi data (sys ex or normal short messages) and translates them using your definitions. The MIDI-to-MIDI translation changes MIDI message. This is useful to change volume, modify controller numbers or convert system exclusive messages to controller numbers.
It is possible to simulate keystrokes in response to incoming MIDI messages. This allows unlimited control over any Windows program by using a MIDI device.
