Document Scanning Made Easy!
ExactScan is an intuitive Document Scanning application that includes the Avision Mac
OS X scanner driver. It allows you to scan documents quickly and easily
and features functionality often only found in complex and expensive archiving
software. If you are using an Avision scanner, it ideally complements
and is supported out-of-the-box by DEVONthink Pro Office.
ExactScan automatically recognizes empty pages and, if requested, removes
them during the scanning process, rotates skewed pages, and removes moiré
patterns caused by scanning pages containing images. The resulting image
data can be saved in classic bitmap formats such as: TIFF, JPEG, JPEG2000,
and PNG as well as directly to PDF and compressed PDF as single or multi
page file. The application integrates automatic, dynamic thresholding
as well as dust, noise, and folds removal. This can dramatically reduce
the size of the digitized file.
Innovative is also the comfortable and individually configurable creation
of file names during the scanning procedure. The computational patterns
can be selected and combined graphically.
