ICO to BMP

ICO to BMP is a simple program which written by the author to solve a very simple problem:
"I needed a simple way to copy and view some program Icon's from Windows for use with documentation for teaching and to edit for use in Web Site design.?
Using Visual Basic 3.0 in a very short time I was able to write the original program. The program is slowly advancing as time goes by. The program has still stayed small and does its job in a very direct manner. It does one job, creating bit map files which maybe edited.
The latest version of ICO to BMP (2.0) is written using Visual Basic 4.0 Professional and comes ready to work with 32 bit operating systems such as Windows 95 and Windows NT.

The user can open the following File Types:

cur files which are program cursor images.
bmp files which are bit map images.
gif files which are web page bit map images.
jpg files which are photo type bit map images.
Once the file is open it can then be saved as a BMP file which maybe edited with most graphics editing programs, and converted to other usable graphics formats for any variety of projects.
This version of the program allows the user to copy the bmp image to the Windows Clipboard for pasting into another program. The program does not extract icons from DLL files at this point in time and it was not written with the intent of converting bmp files to icons. There are many other programs which do both of these things, but few opened ico files directly.
The program runs using few resources so it is possible to keep it open while working in other programs.
New changes include:
1.A menu bar with new options.
2.An extensive help section has been added to the program.
3.A built in registration form.
4.Copy functions for pasting directly to other programs.
5.New setup/uninstall program.
